Kentucky Route Zero Act IV Review

The very first image you see in Act IV of Kentucky Route Zero is a mammoth. Not a real mammoth, though that wouldn’t surprise anyone familiar with this series. No, a slow pull-away shot reveals the ostentatious, animatronic figurehead at the front of the Mucky Mammoth, a cramped yet lively boat helmed by a college dropout named Will who is supposed to be writing a book based on his college research.

The vessel at Will’s command is ferrying travelers down Lake Lethe, one of Kentucky Route Zero’s literary references that may ultimately mean everything or nothing. If the allusion was deliberate, then it’s likely the Lethe of Greek myth, the waters where the dead come to forget who they once were so they can travel through the afterlife unburdened. It would explain quite a bit about Kentucky Route Zero up to this point, though nothing about the series has offered such an easy explanation so far.

Skyshine's Bedlam Review

If you took my favorite things and threw them in a blender it would come out looking like Skyshine’s Bedlam. Its blend of Mad Max’s aesthetic, turn-based strategy combat, and roguelike trappings made me think I’d found the perfect game for me. But just like love at first sight, once I got to know Bedlam a little better, I realized that looks can be deceiving.

In Skyshine’s Bedlam, you helm a vehicle known as the Dozer. The minute story details change from playthrough to playthrough because of the procedurally-generated nature of the game, but the main goal is to flee your home of Bysantine and drive you and your passengers to the Aztec City–Bysantine is suffering under the tyranny of a crazed warlord, King Viscera (no, not the ex-WWE wrestler). Along the way, you’re stopped by wanderers, hostile factions, and other events and people that prevent you from just making a bee-line to your destination.

Combat is a turn-based affair where you fight groups of marauders, mutants, and cyborgs. Your entire party can perform two actions per turn, which can be used to either move around, or to attack an enemy; for example, if you move one char…

Rust's April Update Is Adding Ziplines, Rail Networks

As part of Rust’s promised monthly updates throughout 2022, the survival game will be adding a new rail network and a series of ziplines on April 7. While the initial update is only adding the railway tracks, with the actual trains to come later, the ziplines will be fully functional, added alongside the powerlines that already span the map.

The rail update is just the first part of Rust’s plans for a fully procedural rail network, adding railway tracks to any map size 4250 or larger. The tracks should appear in a singular loop that traverses the island, but developer Facepunch has asked players to look out for and report “any weird looking areas you might encounter.” In a press release, the developer has said that players can expect “drivable above-ground trains” to arrive in game “in the near future.”

Fortnite 17.50 Patch Notes Include Streamlined Creative Library, Easier Superman Quests

Fortnite 17.50 patch notes are here, and it’s clear we’re in the endgame now. This is the final update of Season 7 and will carry players through the final two weeks of the season. It’s a wide-ranging patch that affects battle royale, creative, and more. Let’s get into everything that’s new in the Fortnite 17.50 update.

Wild Weeks – Week 3

Back for another week starting this Thursday is Wild Weeks, this time focusing on alien and Io tech weapons. Related Legendary Quests will have players doing damage with these likely outgoing weapons, and players will enjoy increased drop rates for all alien and IO tech weapons.

Drop rates will improve so much, in fact, that IO chests found at dish stations will now guarantee at least one weapon drop from this category, while they’ll also spawn more often in regular chests.

Playlist Discovery Update

Also new in the 17.50 update is an overhaul to the game’s playlist menu. Players will still find all the Epic originals, like battle royale, Team Rumble, and Impostors, but now a Netflixian virtual library seeks to better highlight the best creative mode content in the game.

Players can refine their searches …

Amazon is currently slashing prices on a variety of Sony speakers, headsets, earbuds, and other audio products. Many products are down to their lowest-ever prices, with some getting discounts over $400. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your home theater or want a nice Bluetooth speaker for your smartphone, there are a ton of great deals to consider.

One of our favorite discounts is for the Sony WH-1000XM5, which is now just $328 (down from $400). That’s one of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen for the noise-canceling headphones. Featuring eight microphones and two processors for incredible sound dampening, they’re an ideal companion for long flights or audiophiles who want to block out all distractions. The discount applies to the black, blue, and silver models, so you should have no problem finding one that fits your style.

To save a bit of cash, you can instead opt for the older WH-1000XM4, which is just $248 (down from $348). The XM4 design isn’t quite as sleek as the XM5 design, but they’re still great at muting nearby sound and are highly customizable thanks to the mobile companion app. This discount is available on the black, blue, and silver …
